lower unit plugs

I have 3 of the 6 drain - vent plugs on the lower units that i cant get out. ive tried a impact screwdriver i didint want to crack the case so i gave up on that.they have always came out so im not sure what the probleum is.what is the next option the hot wrench. any suggestions

Put some heat on housing around plug and use hammer impact to break loose.

Had the same problem. Use a heat gun and warm it all up and give it a few good smacks with a hammer. Once I got all mine out I replaced them with new ones. I use a small amount of teflon pipe dope on the treads that seems to help in the next removal. They also don't need to be tightened by Maggilla Gorilla either.
