2008 Suzuki df70 water in cylinders
Bought a pontoon with df70 2008 and less than 50 hrs in January. On test runs b4 bought, engine would run in lower 1000 rpms then quit. After 10 minutes would start up, gas and would run strong 4000+ rpms! but when back off to 1000 it would quit again. Oil didn't look bad b4 bought. Have run it a couple of time Took to original Zuki dealer says water on cylinders, oil milky junk and engine shot. Boat owned by elder couple, kept on lift and has only been on fresh water lake (Clark hill lake) which is true. Husband passed away so boat sat for a year lifted.
Don't know what to do. Should I keep running it, take to another Zuki dealer, buy a new one or buy a used motor I know nothing about?
I've read notes about engine holder but this one doesn't have it. Dealer says they don't know why or how water got in cylinders and oil until they break down motor, but if head, etc. then it would cost almost as much as a new one to repair all parts and only one yr warranty and can't guarantee other things won't go wrong. Suzuki now offer 6 yr warranty and cost to install on boat $7400!

I would at least find out what's wrong, just because a dealer says its not worth repairing, when in fact he doesn't know what wrong with it, is not good business, I would be looking for another dealer.
