  • DF115 oil filter question

Tried searching for this but keeps coming up with "a security token is missing"

On the parts lists for a 2005 DF115 there are 2 different oil filters listed 16510-90J00 and 16510-61A20-MHL.
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between them and how I can tell which is the correct one?
Also is there an equivalent Ryco or similar filter number for these?

No difference in the two filters. The 16510-61A20-MHL has replaced the 16510-90J00, and is probably listed for those dealers that still have the old number in stock, so they can use the old stock until depleted.

There is, always has been, and for cryin' out loud, probably always will be a glitch in the search feature that no one in charge gives a rip about .....it doesn't work. You always get the security token message. However, there is a work-around for your future enjoyment.......when you click on the "search" button, above, go to the bottom of the drop-down box and click on "advanced search." Then go ahead and search to your heart's content.

      Thanks Mike!
Do you happen to know if this filter has an equivalent aftermarket or automotive number? These filters in US are $5, in Australia they are $30 and i need 2!

        Here you go...........

        Take your pick

Make sure you check and compare, though. I would not trust any such list 100%. Even small differences in gasket sizes can cause leaks.
