  • DT-115 bucking while under a load and stalls

    Hey guys,

    I have a 93 DT-115.
I just got the boat, and went for a water test in it last night.
The boat runs great on the muffs. Runs great at full throttle,
But when you slow down to about 1500-2000RPMS it has this small buck/misfire.
The motor will actually shut off sometimes, yet will start right back up with no trouble at all.

I am new to this forum and am also a new Suzuki owner.
As for the "alarm system" on the boat it makes a chirp when I turn the Key on,
Then I don't hear anything after it starts.
Well that is after it's getting water to it.

Any help on where to start would be great! Thanks in advance.

sounds like your needle jets are blocked up in the carb. they control the middle area between idle and top end. idle has its own fuel supply and top end uses a straight through path past the needles but in mid range the needles adjust fuel to the engine and that's why its stumbling.

the carbs need a good and thurough cleaning
