  • Low system voltage

    Hey all.

Got an issue with 06 225 suzuki. Been installing a dual battery set up had couple issues think got sorted now but today while testing with muffs in driveway the gmi20 gauge came up with low system voltage alarm after running for about 5 min and motor cut out., I restarted and it did it again after about 5....

I did take all negs of bus barn the other day to track down what was shorting to hull, found it to be the VHF radio, does any one know what could cause this fault??

These engines are very sensitive to correct voltage.

Check that the white wire has been correctly re-connected to the right position with the change-over to the new dual battery VSR system, as it sounds like it could be something to do with that, ie a voltage drop once the VSR opens?? Or that the wire has been repositioned and perhaps a connection moved and is no longer good. Maybe a corroded connection somewhere in that wire?

Check that all battery connections are tight and good. And that the batteries themselves are well charged and in good condition.
