Df50tl water issue

I have a 2006df50 that has a new water pimp Installed and it worked fine on the flusher, then I ran it in the water. And it was fin, good stream of water. As soon as I took it out of the water I flushed it with the ear muffs and I get no water at all. Any ideas?

Just make sure the tell tail is not blocked, it is a very common thing, a bit of grit or weed gets stuck in the outlet, just because no water is coming out, doesn't mean the water pump is not working, does the motor over heat?

The motor seems to be cool, I can put my hand on the head after it has been running. I removed the telltail cap (the little cap that covers the approximately one quarter inch outlet tube) and there was no water coming it. Could it get stopped up back toward the motor?

Yes, get a length of heavy mono fishing line or weed trimmer line and poke it in there, usually works better at getting bits if gunk out when the engine is running on the muffs.
