  • One Three beep

Can someone tell me what a 1 long and 3 short beeps means.

Am obviously new here and sorry if it is already posted. Is there a list of codes somewhere so I won't have to take up space posting a dumb question? Thanks.

Thanks, I know the IAC code - unfortunately I have heard it a number of times myself, as I just had 2 of um + 2 ECU's replaced.

But my question is for my neighbor who has a new 175 with less than 2 hrs on it, so it's likely too early for an IAC problem.

He said he is getting 1 long and 3 short beeps, and I can't find that one anywhere. He's outta town or I'd ask him the sequence again, just to verify.

This is from my DF 200 manual. Not sure if it is the same for the 175. I don't see a 1-3 only a 3-1.

Well I just got ahold of my neighbor and to clarify, he said that it happens when he first turns the key switch on - thus the longer first beep, afterwhich he gets 3 short beeps. I believe three beeps is the neutral safety switch that I know Suzy has had some problems with.

A new motor with so few hours- tell him to contact his dealer and get it sorted under warranty.

Yup, they have had some neutral safety switch problems - I also had that problem with my 300's.
