  • Single beep at start

2004 DF250 had one single beep at start but ran fine. No other beeps or check engine light. Engine started a couple of more times over the weekend without a beep. What would have caused the one single beep?

My 140 always has a single beep, and a swing of the tack to indicate hours, then it is ready to start. I believe the beep is a test of the warning horn. Maybe yours did not beep because you didn't give it time to go through it's preliminaries. Mine does not start if I rush the preliminaries, but yours may be different since it is a different engine and year.

Does that beep apply to all zuki engines? Of course doing the prelims first.

This was not the normal beep at the turn of key. It was one beep just after the engine started.

I have a beep every 7 seconds after the engine is started and running. No check engine lights. No warning lights. No flashing codes.
