Fuel hose size

I want to fit a new fuel line to my df40.

Seems that the fuel line from the filter that comes through the front of the engine is 1/4" internal diameter (6mm ish).

Does that sound right as it seems small but maybe I shouldn't worry.

Also does it matter if primer bulb is under console seat rather than near engine?

It's fine to replace with the existing size hose. Those engines use very little fuel so 6mm will be plenty.
