blocked speedo pickup

hi people, im new to the forum and could do with some experienced advice as ive just brought my first boat with a dt 100 outboard on it. the pipe is blocked from the pickup on the leg to where it exits at the back of engine through the rubber pipe, ive tried blowing it through with compressed air but no luck, i think its been blocked for a while. any ideas how to unblock it? cheers.
