Battery lead size

Hi fellas, first post on here so please be gentle. I'm about to become the (hopefully) proud owner of a new DF140a & I'm just getting parts in ready to rig the boat. Could anyone tell me the correct cable size req'd for the main starter cables. The length of the run is around 4m (12') I'm thinking 35mm2 (2 AWG) this is rated to 240A but I can't find any data on the maximum draw of the starter when it's cranking.

Mate i fitted a DF140 to my boat a year or so ago and the cables that came with the motor were ample long enough. Can i ask why you need 4m? My boat is just over 5m in length total.
