Control box tilt/trim switch replacement?

My control box tilt/trim switch has been acting up, sometimes it works and other times it does not so i purchased a new switch. [BTW the T/T works on the motor just fine]

I have removed the old but for the life of me cannot figure out how to thread the three wires from the switch through the very small opening on the control box. Not sure if i have to remove another section or not? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The control box is a single binnacle for a 2007 DF175hp

I did the same to my 2010 DF150, the switch was a minor pain but I did it after learning Suzuki wouldnt cover it under warranty. I had to take it pretty far apart as I recall. I wish I had exact steps but it was not intuitive like I assumed. I had to take the handle off and thread it behind and around. Did you pull the handle? there are 2 screws if I recall.

How'd you get the old one off?
