  • DF225 Complete Shutdown

Have a 2013 DF225 that has operated perfectly until recent. Has about 150 hours on it. In both instances the exact same circumstances led to a full shutdown:

Ran engine for a couple of hours at varying speeds with absolutely no problems (and never turned the engine off). Anchored to fish, turned off engine for an hour or more. When ready to return to dock, the engine cranked as always BUT- after moving 100-200 yards, all sorts of audible alarms sound and the engine completely shuts down. The engine will not restart. The engine turns as if it wants to start but it will not fire. In both instances I had to be towed back to the dock. The next morning the engine cranks normally.

At no time have any error codes flashed across the gauges. And the shut-down is complete and nearly immediate. Like hitting a wall.

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions would be most helpful.

You should still have a warranty. Take it right to the dealer. If you don't id still suggest just letting them have it. Good luck and let us know how you make out
