  • Clearing TPS Fault Code dt225

I heard there is a special procedure for clearing fault codes. Simple unplugging the battery wont do it. Has anyone heard of this? I have a fault code indicating the TPS sensor. Replaced sensor, voltages are fine but fault code still appears. I think its 2-1. Any ideas? Thanks

    What year is your engine?
Maybe someone with that year/model can comment
I don't know if there is something different between DF and DT models with these sensors
You should get the full service manual for your engine
Usually once the sensor is fixed - when you turn the ignition key on -the engine self diagnostics goes through its system check and if the sensor is fixed the fault code goes away
So in checking the voltage ranges between FCT and WOT are correct then you should have a ECM problem or a wire continuity/connection failure
Usually replacing the TPS is the last thing only after checking all the wiring harness connections
