  • Pilot water hole and sensor problems.

    I have twin 140hp fourstrokes,
I have noticed that one of the engines does not have as much water coming out of the pilot water holes as the other engine. There is a big difference.
Does this mean I have to change impeller or water pump????

I also have a problem with water in my fuel tank which is obviously effecting performance, this is not the problem,The problem is when running I can only get the revs up to around 4000rpm after around 10 minutes it slowly drops down to 3000 rpm. When I slow down put it to neutral, turn it off then turn it back on and it runs great like the problem is gone for another 10 or so minutes then the problem occurs again....Could it be a sensor putting it into safe mode???

If you haven't replaced water pumps in a while then probably needs to be replaced.
If you have had water in fuel problems then the Vapor Separator tank probably needs to be removed and cleaned along with fuel filter on electric fuel pump.
