Sorry, I thought I'd already uploaded this photo before, guess not! Anyhow, here's my new-to-me 2001 Aquasport 215 Explorer with its new (in 2021) DF300AP. This engine replaced a 2001 Mercury 200 Saltwater Edition 2S engine that didn't last very long after purchased. Extremely happy with the 300's performance and economy moving this heavy boat (almost 6k lbs fully loaded), WOT of 55 mph/1.9 mpg and cruises at 33 mph/4.0 mpg.

This is my first post here. I was looking for info on engine beep codes and found this thread.

The boat is a 2007 Scout 160 Sportfish and the motor is a 2007 DF60. It had only ever been used in fresh water until i got it and only had 138 hours on the motor. I live in a place called Weipa, in Queensland, Australia and i'm a fly fisher

This is my new-to-me 2001 Aquasport 215 Explorer, came with a 2001 Mercury 200hp 2 stroke that ate a piston on my first sortie. Since the boat is in such good condition decided to max out the allowed hp and installed a 2001 DF300 which is still undergoing break-in with only 3 hours. Waiting on better weather to take her back out and keep breaking it in, especially at WOT and find out if the prop installed by the dealer pairs well with the engine. BTW, at 3750 rpm she achieved 4.1 MPG! Can't wait to keep using her and actually try some fishing in the Indian and Banana Rivers.
