I just ordered a DF90a to repower my 2003 Boston Whaler 170 Montauk - I'm interested in what prop (stainless) you would suggest and any feedback on mounting height. Also any feedback on the controls/throttle would be appreciated. My limited experience with the seem night and day versus my 2003 merc.
I will obviously take my dealer/installer's advice but just curious on other people's opinions.
The weight of the boat should be about 1,925 lbs. (hull, fuel, batteries and outboard) without people or gear. We spend 70% of time cruising and tubing with the kids. The other 30% fishing in lakes and in/near shore saltwater.
