  • DF175 Digital Controls "Check Engine Shift Control" Alarm

Twin 2015 DF175s w digital controls and C10s. Never had an issue until today. Starboard motor running in gear at 1200 rpm heading out of the marina for just a few minutes throws a "Check Engine Shift Control" alarm to my C10s and then drops the motor out of gear. The motor shakes and vibrates some as it come out of gear. Motor left running but not shifting control in and out of gear. Alarm cleared by shutting batteries off and retested. Starboard motor starts fine, shifts fine in and out of forward, reverse and neutral. Start running forward again and 60 seconds later I get the same error on the Starboard motor. Back at the dock putting the boat on the trailer. Any experience with this problem and what to look for?

    Thanks
    Kurt

I dont know too much, but I have seen reports about a bush in the linkages that can bind up. From what I gather its not a difficult fix to replace the bush.

Here are links to similar issues that may help
