  • Suzuki df60 4-2 code and no spark

    Hi all.

I'm helping a friend to get his boat in water for the first time in 4 years. Having trouble to figering out whats wrong.

I made new connections to the battery, the old was bad so i didnt get power.
It got a 4-2 code i cat get rid off, i have changed the ckp sensor to a new from suzuki but i still got the error code..
    new plugs in also.
new petrol and flush old out.

I'm getting no spark.. Dont know if it is conected with the 4-2 error....

Any ideas where to start looking?

    best regards Lars

The Suzuki has a separate wire that provides power to the ecu - the “white wire”. It is usually connected to the + terminal on the start battery or to the + side of the main battery switch.

If this wire (or the fuse in it) is not in really good condition with clean and tight connections, you will have many problems. So that is #1 item to check. It also needs a solid well charged battery.

        Hi Moonlighter.

I will check the white wire, got a new battery in but after playing around and trying to get it starting it popobly need charging.. Will do this also.

Got another tip on checking ecu main relay, will check this in the weekend to.

Thankyou for the help. Will post an update after trying this.

        /Lars
