  • 2011 DF140 Trim and Starting Issue

Went to put my boat in the water this afternoon and trimmed up to take the transom saver out, dropped it in the water and trimmed down and attempted to start the engine and it made a “click” sound and then nothing... pulled it back on the trailer and trim has no power. Figured the battery might have been dead so I tried giving it a jump from my truck battery and still nothing. All electronics i.e. radio, fishfinder work but nothing to do with starting or trim. Any ideas on how I could alleviate this?

    read the white wire sticky
depending on wiring configuration you might have power to gauges but with the no trim and no start, it is most often related to the white wire
however make sure the battery is good and fully charged

Check fuse box under cowl. See if ecm/fp/trim fuse is blown. Should be a 30amp green fuse. It seems some trim relays are controlled thru ecu and can pop fuse up to blowing ecu out. I'm trying to find that answer on here now.
