engine noise after motor is shut off

I have a 2019 250 that has less than 10 hours on it. This past weekend, i shut the motor off to fish and the motor continued to make a "recoil type noise" after it was shut off. It lasted about 2 seconds. Does anyone have any ideas on what may be the cause and the remedy? Thanks.

My 2018 Sea Pro with a DF 300 makes that recoil sounding noise every time I shut it off for about 2 seconds. It is the trim tabs on the back of the boat returning to neutral position.

Dwayne - you are exactly right. I took it to the dealer today and he almost fell over laughing. I have never had a boat with tabs before. I learned something new and am glad it wasn't something serious. Thanks for the response!
