  • Setting the Trim Threshold on Suzuki SMIS Multifunction Gauge

Could someone please help. I have read the manual, did't help. Please explain what it is doing when you "set the Threshold" for engine trim on the Suzuki Multifunction Gauge. The parameters are between 3%-50%. What does it do?

There are actually 3 or 4 other things you can set a threshold for. maybe if I can figure out the engine trim, they all will make sense.

Threshold is simply the amount the relevant parameter changes before the popup for that item appears on the SMIS gauge.

Using engine trim as an example, in other words, if you just give a tiny touch on the trim button to make a really small trim adjustment, do you want the trim gauge to pop up onto the gauge screen? If you do, set a low threshold, if you dont, set a higher threshold.

Same applies to the other things where thresholds can be adjusted. You arent changing how the engine operates, just how the gauge shows the relevant info.

Is that what you were asking about?
