To be clear, I unplug the sender unit at the power trim and plug that into the interface cable?

Is the trim sender plugged into the harness even if you do not have a trim gauge?

            Moonlighter,

After reading a great deal of your post on the Hulltruth, this is my understanding:

Order a longer extension cable to run from the engine to the consule.
Install the Interface cable under the console. ( longer life )
Tape off the trim sender port, as I understand the trim data on the later models ( mine 2019 ) goes via the main 4 pin plug.

            Is this correct?

            Thank you.

The trim sender will be plugged into the harness in the engine as standard from the factory.

If you extend the adapter cable up to the dash then most likely you wont need the 2 pin plug for trim, but if you do you can connect it to the harness behind the dash that the trim gauge normally connects to.

Can you recommend a vendor to purchase a longer cable?

Cannot be bought in the USA.

Thats why I recommend simply cutting them in half and soldering/heat shrinking in an extension.
