  • Engine holder (motor holder) new version old version

    Hi guys;
looking for more info on the motor holders.
    03 DF140
last year, corrosion broke thru at the end of the upper bolt mounting bolt hole and melted my rubber mounting bushings.
found a used motor holder cheap, but it had a hole in the bolt side. we cleaned it up and used some jb weld "TYPE" of product that was recommended.
    Well, it didn't last.

So I ordered a used one from eBay that looked REALLY GOOD in the photos.
Sure enough, upon proper clean up at my friend's shop, it was found to have a hole thru to the upper mounting bolt as well.
    the return was no problem.
    now looking again.

brownspoint shows TWO different part numbers.
    51110-90832-0EP Engine Holder "SET"
    and
    51110-90822-0EP Engine Holder "SET"
    what are the differences ?

What is confusing to me is the part numbers and supersession of the part numbers.
    51110-90J00-0EP Supersedes to 51110-90J01-0EP
    51110-90J01-0EP Supersedes to 51110-90810-0EP
    51110-90810-0EP Supersedes to 51110-90830-0EP
    51110-90830-0EP Supersedes to 51110-90831-0EP
    51110-90831-0EP Supersedes to 51110-90832-0EP
(i found this on Crowley's website under the 51110-90810-0EP part listing.
so ANY of these should work right ?
if not, does anyone know what the differences were ?

The "51110-90810-0EP Supersedes to 51110-90830-0EP" I found at CROWLEY Marine last night is only $497.
on that same page, it says "There is a newer version of this part: 51110-90832-0EP". but that NEWER version is $831.00 !
What improvements am I getting for $334 bucks ?

    thanks for the help.
you guys are always a great source of info.
Working...
