  • Charging voltage to high?

I have a 2010 DF90A. I just customized my go9 to show voltage on the tool bar. After running at about 4000rpm for 30 min or so i noticed it showing a voltage of 15.2 volts!. Slowed down and while idling around it was still up there around 14.9ish.. shut it off and it went down to 12.4ish. the only load is what ever the engine needs and the simrad GO9. Is this going to make an issue? I was under the belief that it really shouldnt be over like 13.5 volts or so.. i dont want to damage the battery and or electronics. Next time out or when its on the ear muffs i will check the voltage at the battery with a meter

Won't hurt a thing. I assume your specs on the charging system are going to be the same as mine. The specifications for the DF150/175 is a regulated voltage output of 14.2-15.2V. So you are right at the top of the range. A fully charged 12 volt battery should show 12.7 volts.
