  • DF350A Problem

We just finished installing and rigging (2) 2018 DF350A Suzukis. During the first run, both engines cranked right up and ran great for around 30 minutes. Then the port engine went into limp mode and threw codes 2-4 and 4-2, which are the cam sensor code and the crank position sensor code.

The motor will turn over but never cranks, and it sounds like it is missing and sputtering... sounds terrible! The starboard engine cranks up without hesitation and sounds completely normal.

So far, we have verified all of the connections at the batteries are tight, the sub battery cable (white wire) is properly installed on the starboard's perko switch, and the voltage on the batteries are good (just replaced both of them).

I find it hard to believe both of these sensors went bad at the same time, but given the starboard motor is running great, it doesn't appear to be the typical white wire problem. I'd be more inclined to think it may be a rigging issue or set up problem if the port motor never ran or started, but since it did run fine during that initial test run, not sure what to think.
Working...
