Just got the engine mounted up on my project boat (yep, it got knocked down so bad that the swivel bracket broke and the whole thing fell off the boat!). First, I ran it for a bit and the manifolds seem hot to me. sds shows port is 69 C and starboard is hotter at 90 C. Is this normal? Also what are those big square things in the starboard manifold with yellow wires coming out of them? Are they the O2 sensors?
Second thing is I need a prop. Old one got destroyed before I got the boat, so no knowing what the WOT rpms where. I know it was a 3x16x21 and the boat ran 50 mph. with 0 slip the max that prop can do on the engine is 52 mph. So clearly the PO of the boat "ran out of prop". Has anyone tried putting a tempest plus on this engine? Anyone recommend any other good speed props for this engine?
