DF140 has trouble planing out, will only get up to 4000 rpms. after 15 to 20 mins. of full throttle. Had water in my fuel last year, and that is when the problems started. Changed all filters, still not much better. Was told the screen on the high pressure fuel pump may need cleaning. Removed the VST and opened it up, it was very dirty, a lot of corrosion from water. Cleaned it up, bench tested it, and the fuel pressure was 80 psi. Pressure regulator is supposed to release at approx 35 psi., right. No fuel coming out of the bypass tube. Will too high pressure keep it from running full out? Runs smooth, so injectors must be all firing.
