  • Suzuki PTT fluid NLA

Went to order the Suzuki branded bottle of PTT fluid, it's no longer available. I know many other brands will work, just curious if anyone knows why.

The Dealer websites only show Starbrite PTT fluid, available with the part number prefix of SUZ. I'm assuming this is Suzuki's recommended replacement?

    Thanks in advance.

All the Suzuki branded oil and lube products are gone. Probably weren't selling, and pulling them was a cost measure.

I wonder which manufacturer(s) makes their fluids?

I haven't looked to see what the factory PTT fluid looks like in my 2016, but I don't think it's going to be red like transmission fluid. However, I know most PTT systems state, transmission fluid can be used.

There are many brands of mariine lower unit lubes on the market. I always use synthetic lube and oils in all my vehicles and the outboard, and prefer Amsoil brand.
