Have water blowing out exhaust port . Pulled the poppet valve and it appears to be working just fine . Is there something else other than bad/broke exhaust .

Is this when you have muffs on? The exhaust of all the water goes out through the prop. It allows for fresh water to continuously have flow. -

on my 175 just above the waterlines a exhaust relief valve(?)
its primary purpose is used when running in reverse to relieve back pressure.
I can't tell from your question if this is what you are referring to. I am not sure the 140 has this same valve.
