  • How to remove broken shaft seal on 2003 DF30

The driveshaft bearing housing broke when I tried to remove it. Now I'm stuck with the small part around the seals. When I try to lift it up it feels like it's attached to a spring and will snap straight back down if it let go on my crowbar. It will only lift half an inch before it stops. Any tips how to remove this so I can install a new bearing housing?

For anyone else wondering. I had forgot to loosen the pinion nut.

Sorry I'm just seeing this. I just went through all of this on my Df25. Not a very easy to work on design.
