Hi Guys,
new member here. I just replaced my water pump impeller. I have done this twice before over the years. I had issues both times getting the shift linkage together correctly, but I got it right eventually. Today, when I got to the point where it was time to reconnect the linkage, it was a real problem. I finally got it together, but when I checked the shifting, it will no longer go into reverse. I pulled on the starter cord to re-align everything(I guess), then it would shift through the gears, but now when it is in neutral the propeller does not spin freely. I believe it should spin freely in neutral. Am I right? What did I do wrong and how do I fix this? Thanks in advance for your help!
