  • '00 DT25 Hone with out removing head?

I had the motor rebuilt a few months ago, now it has a blown head gasket. They are telling me that they did not remove the head to hone all 3 cylinders, on the rebuild. Is it common to do everything from the bottom side?

How did the rebuild it without removing the head???
I'm not familiar with this block but the pistons have to come out the top (cylinder head side) on every block I've ever seen. You'd not be able to hone the cylinders with the pistons in place. Hopefully someone more familiar with this exact block will chime in and say it's possible on this model...

There only thing that would make sense is they went in from the bottom end (carb side). If that is even possible.
