Suzuki DF140 Forward Gear - UK

Hi,

I'm looking for a replacement Forward Gear for a 2004 DF140 (Serial 14001F-425687).

Does anyone have any recommendations where to find one rather than buying a full new Pinion & Gear set? I'm in the UK.

Looks like they are selling only the pinion gear set as a whole. I do understand because of the wear pattern should match or you will worn out the others gears. But if it's almost like new than one gear should do the trick. I'll inform with a friend of mine who works at a Suzuki dealership.

Oke, he told me that they only sold as a pair. He can't believe that only the front gear is broken. He had never seen that only one of the gears is broken.

In the Netherlands retail sell price for the set is about 800 euro's (USD 900)

It is just the forward gear in that the tooth has disappeared. Yes, the full set seems pretty expensive.

I'm hoping someone will be breaking an old bottom end and have a spare available, although I suppose the teeth may have worn differently.

Still, for that price its worth having a go with a forward gear alone and seeing if I can get away with it!
