  • Using SDS with Recoil/Hand starter

    Hallo,

First of all a few words about myself.........my name is Graham and I live in
north Germany. I am a couple of years off retirement and have a little boat
which I use on the river Weser/Canals and Lakes where motorboats are still
    allowed.

I have a DF15A with handstarter..........this means I have no battery. To use
the SDS software one needs 12V ( turning on ignition ).I have heard that to use
the software with my motor I have to use an external 12 V source. I do not want to fry my ECM so my question is.........what is the best way to do this?
From what I see there are four cables on the SDS connector..........two go to the ECM. I hav`nt found anybody who could say........." I have a handstarter
you must do this" but quite a few " try this or this " .........I hope someone
on this forum can give me a helping hand.

Thankyou in advance to anyone who can find the time to help me out

    Greetings from Germany..........Graham

    Hello Graham,

From what year is the DF15? Do you have the battery charging kit installed? (Do you have a rectifier in the engine)

Does it have a carburetor or is it an injection? Serial looks like a 2013.

you need an SDS cable with extra 12 volt power supply.

                original part number 09933–08910
