  • DF175 RPM issue

Hello all first time on the forum so please bear with me.
I have a Sea Fox 256 with twin DF175 motors 2008. I am continually having an RPM issue with the starboard motor. After a full serive (200 hour service, all filters/separators etc) we ran 60 miles to the ledge without incident, trolled for 5 hours and then we decided to run a few miles to elude the porpoise. The motor would not go over 4000 RPM,s. Found a little water and sediment in separator but after pouring it out it still did the same thing. We were able to run in at about 40 mph, still maxing out at about 4300 RPMs on the same motor. Once we were in smooth water the RPMs increased but were still not where they should be. We were running about 48 mph (max speed is 54) and about 5000 RPMs. My feelings are that if there was water in the tank both motors would be acting up, possible vapor lock, pickup for the starboard motor is lower than port? This is not the first time that this has happened. It is almost identical every time. Any thoughts
