DF175 No water exiting pee hole

    try putting duct tape over the auxillary intake if it has one (my DF 40 has an intake directly above the prop on the bottom side of the anti cavitation plate)...my owners manual suggests this when running it using muffs.

      No water exiting DF175 peep hole

      In addition to muffs, tape intake holes on either side of nose of LU
      I had same issue and this worked.
      Just be sure to remove tape after flushing

        I too have a 175
        couple years ago mechanic told me this model (maybe others) there are two sets of water intake holes - the screened ones that are obvious and some holes on the front side of that
        He had to use two sets of clam shell muffs to be able to run the engine with proper water flow
        when you place the clamshell muffs on the usual location and turn on the water I think you will see water blowing out these other locations
