I don't remember right off hand
What's the difference and what should I look for from each if you don't mind?

          map

These conditions will be caused by IAC valve failure or incorrect
by-pass air screw adjustment. If IAC valve is always closed
or by-pass air is too low, the ECM controls the IAC valve duty
to increase to maintain the idling / trolling speed specified.
          NOTE 2:Map error 3-2
This condition will be caused by clogged pressure detect passage
          in intake manifold.

              Final outcome.
When I looked at the motor the client was there and wanting to save some bux.
I found the Map sensor code and let him buy and install the sensor.
When I got back to it the Map code was gone and the motor was idling @ 1100 or so. The alarm was sounding but no codes were present.
Reset idle with fixed timing @ 650. Restarted the motor and all is good!
