  • 1996 suzuki 115 hp. Warning alarm

I just got a 1996 115 hp suzuki , when i turn the motor , everything seems to be ok , but when I put forward and increase the RPM up to 2000, then the beep alarm with the following lights on ( TEMP , REV LIMIT & check engine) ,for a little while , then put in neutral , no lights , put forward and up to 2000RPM and same thing , all this excercice did not took moré than 5 minutes , therfore i am sorprise that the temp light went on.

    Any ideas ?

    Hi

At the lights turn may be due to the water pump blades this evil and not pumping enough water to cool the engine. Check jet leaving enough water to accelerate the motor.

      overheating at higher rpms...

The 115 is like my dt140's.
I had to rebuild the sub-water pickup, located under the water pump, because as exaust pressure increased, it was pushing the water back out of the pump. This caused my engines to overheat after 2500 rpms.
      Hope this helps.
