  • Dt 150 freshwater flush

Hello and thanks for looking at this I have a 93 dt150 can I put a freshwater flush on it or is there a way I can do it in the water

    dt150 flush

If you use your motor in salt, or brackish (mix of salt and fresh water) you should be using the muffs that go on the water inlets near the prop. Flush for a few minutes to allow three motor to warm up good.
if you're using the boat in fresh water, there isn't a real need to flush religiously.
Flushing removes the salts that corrode the internal passages. Flushing is also used to check your motor before going to the landing to make sure everything is working fine.
Hope this is the answer you're looking for.

The 150 is the same design as my 175
There are two points to flush the engine as you may be aware of. One on front and one on the side
If you are going to keep in salt water over night this is what I would do
Tilt motor do prop is out of water
The front wash out port is probably going to be easiest to reach
Attach fresh water hose and let run for 10 minutes
Remember not to run motor with this
Only run motor with the muffs which you probably can't reach when you are in the water
