    need help - electrical problem

    Out on water at time

    Fully charge battery
    engine would not crank
ingition and all gauges were functioning -
    action taken:
    cleaned terminal - no response
noticed frayed (+) wire - cut and striped back wire and clean and tired to connect to battery - no respond - ignition and gauges still working
friend tired reversing cables not response except ignition and gauges stop functioning.

I can replace power cables how do I get ignition and gauges working again.is there a built in fuse or circuit breaker. Any other suggestions?

Yes, there is a main fuse on the engine and no doubt it would be blown. You will need to find it and replace.

does anyone know where the engine fuse is located on the DF 115 or 115 hp outboard?

is there not also an inline fuse that runs in the white power lead to the ignition switch/dash, that should be checked?
beside the fuses in the fuse box

          df115, starting issues

          Fully charge battery

ingition and all gauges were functioning-

Are you telling us that when you had power, before friend reversed wires, that starter wasn't turning the motor, or that the starter was working, but the motor wouldn't start?
Let us know what's happening when you get power back up.
