  • Type U or Type V.

I bought a 1999 DF 70 and in the process of going through it I find that there is no "Thrust Washer" or " Stopper, Prop" ahead of the prop. In the parts look up it lists two different types, V and U. Can anyone tell me how to tell which one I need? I tried the search to no avail.

    df70, '99, thrust washer

Might try and google each part number, maybe you will get some description that can help you decide. Otherwise, take your motor serial & model number to a local dealership, and let them tell you which you need. Take your prop with you if you go to a dealer, it might help?

      U vs V

Thanks, I did find my thrust washer, I put mine aside and then forgot where aside was. I am still curious as to the difference, V was $55, U was $122. Glad I found mine.

after reviewing a bearing site it appears to be the shape of the grove in the outside edge of the bearing
either cut with "U" face picture a square bottomed U
        or a "V" grove
a kind of for what its worth
