  • dry shaft constant replacement

    Hello there,

We own a 26footer Regulator with twin suzuki 150 on. Every 3 to 4 months, sometimes earlier depending on how much we use it, we have to replace the dry shaft. Any suggestions?

    "dry shaft"???

You may not be on the right forum if that is really what you are inquiring about!

Do you mean the "drive shaft" ??

Perhaps you can tell us a bit more information about what is happening, because it would definitely not be normal to have to replace a drive shaft anywhere near that often!

What is the boat used for, how many hours per year? Exactly what symptoms are you experiencing leading you to decide to replace the drive shaft? And when you say "replace", do you mean you need to remove the existing drive shaft and install a new one? If so, what is wrong with the old one?

You have to help us to help you by providing all the information that will allow us to understand the problem, we cannot guess as that will not help us make suggestions. So as well as the questions above, anything else you can tell us about what is happening will assist.

I think he is talking about the plastic bush in the lower housing, mine has been squealing for five hundred hours. Pull the leg off cant see any thing wrong grease the bush and shaft noise comes back after a couple of trips.
