  • Ign. switch wires?

I am hooking up an aftermarket ign. switch to an older (1988-1994) 2 stroke. I've got most of them figured out, except for the magneto wire color and the ignition wire color. I've got blue, green and gray wires left.

    The choke is orange.
    Solenoid is brown.
    Battery is white.
    Ground is black.

    Magneto circuit is ?.
    Ignition circuit is ?.

    Thanks!

I have a newer motor, mine has all of the colors except blue.
    gray is ignition
green is stop. This wire should also tie into your emergency kill switch

I don't know if this will help or not.

Did you look at the chart in post #4 above? It lists blue and yellow there and tells you what they are for.

                  Same type of issues

My friend gave me a brand new Yamaha keyswitch to replace my old falling apart switch. I'm looking at the kill switch wires and it shows 3 on the chart blue green red are all 3 tied into 1? I bought this motor DT90 and my keyswitch will not not shut the motor off or the deadman switch wont kill it either, motor just wants to rev up when I shut the key off or pull lanyard!!!

I'm going from Suzuki wires to Yamaha wires
                  White to Red
                  Grey to Yellow
                  Black to Black
Not sure what to White to stop engine (green, blue, red?)
                  Brown to Brown (Brown yellow/green?)
                  Orange to Dark Blue

I just need it to start, stop and kill any advise?
Same thing is occurring with old Suzuki keyswitch as well!

Boashna you need to bow out/ stop posting. You are NOT helping. You are getting in the way of those trying to help. If you can NOT refrain from posting unhelpful comments we will remove you from being able to post. This is becoming annoying. Thank you.
