No! You need to get up close to 6000rpm. At least 5800.

      OK Moonlighter
so what do you recomend ?

As my actuel prop is : 3x16x20L

I should have to do some test with less diameter prop --> less than 16

Or less pitch to increase the revs

      Is that correct ?

I would say for a start that you are swinging too big diameter. 14.75 or 15 would be better on the 150. The 16" are intended for the 200-250's.

This is the list of Suzuki recommended props for the 150/175:

Suzuki Outboard Propellers DF 150 / DF 175

Judging by the prop you had on your 2009 motor, Which you said was 3 x 15 x 21 and gave 5500, I would suggest trying a 15.25 x 19", that should get your revs up to somewhere near to where they should be. And your acceleration and economy should be better too. The other option to consider might be the 15.5 x 17", it is up to you. I would possibly favour the 19" as the first one to try.

But as you know, props can be a trial and error thing so you will need to test it and see.

Good luck, it looks like Suzuki has available the 3 x 15.25 x 19 in the LH (counter) rotating version, so fingers crossed!

Tomille 3 we took delivery of a Suzuki DF150ZGL on a Rhea 23 this week what do you think you fuel consumption is please?

              I.e. Litres per Km
              Litres per nautical mile
              Or litres per hour

At say 4,000 rpm. Or 40kph

We are English living on il de Re.

              Thanks
              Nigel

                Hi Nigel
if you live on Ile de re , may be you can read french

See here all the tests we did , with different propellers , you'll have an idea about the fuel consumption (depending of the boat hull of course...)

Les Forums: Performances Gommonautica G65 (1/4)

But at 4000 rpm , it should be about 22/25 liters /hours
one more time depending of the boat weight , prop ...etc

I just installed a df150tg on my 18 whaler. I have tested 2 props so far and waiting for a 3rd, here are my numbers.
                  Suzuki stainless 3 blade
                  15 1/4x19 wot: 6175
                  16x21 1/2 wot:5375
                  15x21 haven't tested yet
I think the 15x21 will be the best choice, thinking wot will be around 5800.

                    I would prefer the 19.

She will perform best, especially out of the hole, if you can get just over 6000rpm. Also would allow for a heavy load.

All my testing was done with full tank(63gals) and 2 adults
I do like the 19 but I also want the Rpms under 6000.i will give the 15x21 a shot then decide between the 2. Also I'm not concerned with the hole shot the boat gets up and goes with really no effert with the load.
