I am connecting a DF20 hp kicker to the main motor fuel/water separator kit and was advised to install an inline check valve for this motor. The main motor is 2018 DF 250hp. Is it really necessary? Thanks
It is advised to have a suitable 3 way fuel valve fitted.
You do not want any chance of air getting into the fuel line which can easily happen if the kicker is disconnected, and all that then happens is the big engine sucks air. Bad.
