2013 DF 300APX

1st time out this year.... 313hrs on it. Boat would shift F-N-R from either station [dual stations]

Then shortly there after set a alarm with code 8-3 and have no Reverse.

VERY dangerous for maneuvering.

Suggestions?

That code is for your shift motor not working, if it only has two wires going to It, it would work like your trim relay motor, meaning voltage will travel through the brushes com and armature in one direction to ground, then when you shift the leaver, battery voltage will travel through the other side to ground connect up a test light and see. It might be just a bad connection on a terminal block.

Thank You..... I figured it was something simple, as in a bad connection, as the boat has been setting for a few months.



Can you give me better insight as to where to look for this connection?
