  • Backwards Behavior on Trim Switch

What does it mean when the trim button on the Suzuki binnacle does the opposite? Pressing “up” sends the motor down and pressing “down” sends the motor up. Wiring issue?

Based on what I have learned so far this evening, the up/down wires are swapped on the remote trim button. I will need to check that out under the helm. The button the engine works fine.

An update on this issue. I had to have the wiring harness replaced due to the oil light staying lit (was determined to be bad wire in harness). The new wiring harness also fixed the trim switch issue. I guess I just had a bad wiring harness.
