brand new 9.9 tiller trolling issue

hello, i just joined this forum. I have a brand new 9.9 efi tiller outboard and when i try to set trolling speed it slowly returns to idle no matter how much i tighten the thumbscrew underneath. I dont want to overtighten & break something on my new baby. Otherwise loving the new motor compared to my old two stroke. Thanks looking forward to your ideas.

How many hours do you have on it? Tighten the thumb screw & don't worry about it? Call whom ever you purchased it from?

1hr, tightened it, have contacted dealer. I'm sure it will get worked out, but for now isn't working. Thanks for the reply!
