  • Question About Warranty

I'm in year 4 of my six year warranty so I'm covered by Cornerstone. I recently had my main oil seal go bad and took it to dealer to fix. They fixed it and said it was covered under the Cornerstone Warranty. However they said I owe a $25 deposit and also have to pay another $100 because they had to change the oil and oil filter. Does this sound legit or are they trying to make a few extra dollars?

Sounds reasonable to me, maybe $100 for oil and filter is a bit high. Personally I’d be happy getting out of the shop with the amount of work they on your engine for a $125 invoice.

When in doubt - first, read the terms and conditions of the warranty very carefully and understand what is covered and what is not.

Anyone know where to find the cornerstone warranty. Although I doubt they mention about an oil change.
